Gib'Sea 334

The Gib'Sea brand enjoys a solid reputation in the nautical sector for the reliability and robustness of its vessels, especially in the cruising segment. The Gib'Sea 334 sailboat, built in 2000, exemplifies a balance between maneuverability, comfort, and safety, designed for those looking to enjoy the sea on both medium-distance crossings and coastal getaways with family or friends. Currently available as a second-hand sailboat in Maó, Balearic Islands, this unit measuring 9.95 meters in length and 3.4 meters in beam is presented in a state of preservation that reflects rigorous maintenance and continuous improvements.
The design of the 334 model meets the needs of those who desire agile and comfortable navigation without sacrificing spacious and well-utilized areas. With category B and clearance in zone four, the Gib'Sea 334 is suitable for navigation in both inland and coastal waters, allowing for safe crossings thanks to its equipment and certified safety measures, which include six inflatable life jackets with whistle and light, flares, and a smoke signal.
In terms of maneuverability, this sailboat benefits from a completely new roller mainsail installed in 2024, ensuring easy and efficient handling, especially during cruising. The headsail is also new, with a DCX radial cut, and a second spare headsail in good condition is included, equipped with a recent sun strip. All rigging has been renewed, incorporating halyards for the headsail and mainsail, as well as a dyneema block for greater strength, and sheets, lines, and halyards in polyester, providing reliability in every maneuver. The anchoring system is equally impressive: it features a stainless steel ultramarine anchor, 60 meters of 8 mm steel chain, and an electric windlass with a spare relay, making the task easier even in adverse conditions.
Life on board is particularly comfortable thanks to a series of recent upgrades. The bimini and sprayhood have been replaced just a year ago and feature sewn sun strips with zippers, designed to protect from sun and wind. Two flexible solar panels of 100W each, mounted on the bimini, offer remarkable energy autonomy, supported by three AGM service batteries and a gel engine battery, all installed in the last two years.
At the helm, the equipment stands out for its modernization: it includes two Raymarine i70 and P70S displays, which manage the newly installed wind equipment and the MK2 ST4000 wheel autopilot, respectively. The three-dimensional log and the new Plastimo Contest 101 compass complete an instrument panel designed for the demanding sailor, allowing access to precise and updated information during the voyage. The rudder blade and the quadrant have been restored, and a removable teak cover has been planned in the cockpit to facilitate access to the system when necessary.
The Yanmar 27 HP engine, with a new gearbox and recently installed fresh water pump, offers mechanical reliability for maneuvers in port or auxiliary navigation. A spare shaft, propeller, and connection are also included, demonstrating the previous owner's attention to detail and preventive approach. The water heater, functioning both on engine and connected to 220V, and the Waeco refrigeration unit in the fridge ensure comfort on board in any situation.
The interior of the Gib'Sea 334 is designed to offer spaciousness and functionality. The forward cabin features two seats and wardrobes, as well as a fan and a 200-liter water tank located under the bed. The salon cushions, upholstered in Sunbrella fabric and with recent foam, have been renewed in recent months, and the seats can be transformed into two single beds, increasing the versatility of the space. The salon has two additional fans and a bilge pump in the bilge. The kitchen, equipped with an oven, maintains proper functionality, and the spacious aft cabin with wardrobe adds another 100-liter water tank under the bed.
The bathroom, generously sized, has been updated with a new toilet and newly installed emptying hose. The shower and bilge pumps, although old, work perfectly and have received proper maintenance, including membrane changes and a spare available on board.
Outside, the cockpit features a double-leaf table, cushions, shower, and a spacious aft hatch, reinforcing the Gib'Sea 334's vocation as a family cruising sailboat. Safety and comfort are guaranteed, both for experienced sailors and for those looking to start in the world of sailing with a reliable and well-equipped boat. Located in Maó, Balearic Islands, this sailboat also benefits from a privileged environment, ideal for exploring the coves of Menorca or embarking on crossings across the Mediterranean, making it an attractive option for those who value quality construction, updated equipment, and the livability of a boat designed to enjoy the sea in every detail.
